Silent Auction Goes Online to Benefit Children's Corner at Newton-Wellesley

Children’s Corner, located on the grounds of Newton-Wellesley Hospital, provides outstanding quality care for 76 children of hospital physicians, nurses, employees and other members of the Newton-Wellesley community.

Room to Grow

Room to Grow is a campaign to raise funds to support the renovation of the Children’s Corner basement to create an indoor play area and staff room.

Children’s Corner recently found itself with no indoor play area, a real problem on rainy, extremely cold, and oppressively hot days.  On average there are 25 such days each year when the kids spend the entire day in the classroom.  That’s a lot of time in one place for kids who need room to run around, and play...and grow!  The solution: build a space of our own. 

Online Auction & Raffle

On June 13, 14 and 15, 2007, Children’s Corner at Newton-Wellesley will host Room to Grow, a silent auction/raffle fundraiser to support the renovation of the Children’s Corner basement.  The silent auction will take place both at Children’s Corner and online.  You literally can bid from anywhere in the world! The Raffle will be held on June 15th beginning at noon and winners need not be present to win.

How it Works

Auction

You can view auction items on the online auction catalog and email your bids.  Online bidding will begin Wednesday, June 13 at 8 a.m. and bids will be accepted until 11:00am on Friday, June 15!   Current high bids for items will be updated frequently on the website so you can track the progress of your desired items.

Raffle

You can view raffle items on the online raffle catalog page. Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10 and are available by calling 617-243-6510 or by clicking here. If you choose to print out your tickets print out the sheet, fill out the desired number of stubs and return to the address below with payment. Cash, checks or money orders only please.
